I use a Road ID when riding. The staff at the Glasgow Velodrome used it to call my wife when I was unconscious after a crash.

I've got one, better than other options which rely on a qr code to allow people to get your contact details especially if riding in poor signal areas.

Worth getting IMO

Worth setting up a Medical ID on your phone too.

(Or putting an ICE contact on your lock screen)

I have one, though thankfully have never had the need to use it. My wife feels a little more comfortable when I go out that I'm wearing it.

I wear one, easily accessible contact details that don't rely on people looking at phones or for a bit of paper stashed somewhere.

I wear one when I ride on my own.

It answers the question of what would happen if I ended up unconscious while I was out. Although I've never needed it, many other people have and it was probably a police request for identifying someone that prompted me to get one.

Got given one on Saturday by someone I was running with. He was hit by a car (head injuries, induced coma etc.), and he now keeps a few in his car to hand out. Would have helped him at the time.

Worth setting up a Medical ID on your phone too

This picture says it really isn't...

In there you will see my wallet (with BC license and emergency contact number) and phone. Taken during a CT scan an hour after my accident - nobody had checked my pockets whilst I was unconscious for 30 minutes. I now wear something easy to read when unconscious - sticker on helmet and wrist band. Much easier.

I've got one - usually it's on my camelbak straps so I don't forget it. Got it after a big off, which happened to be in daylight with a friend, but could easily have been 3 days before, alone, in the dark. If it goes wrong I'd rather someone not have to arse about to find out who I am and who to contact.

Got ICE set upon on my phone too.

Can I ask what the point is?

1. Presumably if you're found then you'll be taken to A&E and looked after. When (IF) you make a full recovery you make your way home.
2.If you're out cold for a while then family will ring around and find you- can't be many cyclists in 'X' area that are missing?
3.If you die then eventually family will ring around and find out (same reason as above).

Hi.
Been thinking of this for quite a while and want to get an ID bracelet, would look to get something 'stylish' that I can wear all of the time - to cover daily commuting as well as training rides - and would be waterproof to wear in the shower.

I've looked on line and hard to judge the quality. What are all wearing? Any recommendations?

TagNix wrist band for me when riding solo.

Tagnix tag that attaches to watch strap for Munqechick.

Cokie, just over a month ago it took me and my team 5 days to identify a young man found collapsed and unconscious. They turned his life support off just hours before his parents got to see him. Worst case scenario but real and recent.

Waiting to pass a CO2 cartridge to fix a puncture can take an age, it's true.

Think it was the force of the impact that did it 🙂
