Thinking about where I can drop some weight on my r*** bike.

I've already got a plan for the wheels so I'm looking at replacing the stem, bars and post which are all RaceFace Cadence at the moment. Looking for kit that's a decent weight saving at a 'reasonable' price. Won't use Easton but other than that I'm not interested in brand as long as it's reputable. Understated better than spangly.

What's wrong with Easton?

Are you ripped and lean with body fat <10%? If not don't waste your money, just ride more! 😀

Another vote for Ritchey WCS, I replaced the bar, stem and post on my road with this kit a couple of months ago. Wet black looks fantastic. Best price I found was from Zepnat.

personal - just don't like it.

No, not by some way. But I'm as ripped as I'm likely to get on the riding and running I manage to squeeze in with the rest of real life. It's not either/or, is it?

I've just got a Deda Zero stem for my mountain bike. Lighter than the Ritchey WCS that I had for it in the same length by 11 grams. I've also found carbon components to be quite regularly heavier than other alloy components of similar size. I'm going to be looking out for more parts from Deda as Mr Smith points out above.

Rotor stem or Smica Pro (it's the Ritchey Pro stuff unbranded)
Use alien post or Smica pro if you prefer alloy.
Deda Newton Bars

I got some good cheap control tech stuff from CRC. The stem and seatpost were light, cheap and very nicely finished.

I hope not or that's me sunk!

Hig's I think some of the German bike sites sell a fair bit of the Ritchey WCS kit at reasonable prices, I bought some for the Proto-Scandal in 07 its good kit and has withstood my very non-ripped figure.

The wet look stuff is very nice & makes cleaning the snot off easy 😉
