An interesting review and interview with the designer of the new Cannondale Synapse in the new issue of Cyclist.
Disc brakes add all of 100g to the weight of the bike. Thru axles were not added as the pro team mechanics said that it meant there'd be another thing to hold when changing wheels. Also they reckoned that the wheel change time was significantly longer than with traditional QRs. (cue several people saying they can change thru axles quicker than QRs).
It's actually a pretty good issue this month, been a bit underwhelmed with some of the recent issues.
