Hi everyone i am new to road biking so have no clue.
I would like to change the tape on my road bike. Firstly is this easy enough to do? Also were can i find some towling type tape for my sweety hands?
Not a towling type tape, but Lizard Skins DSP tape is good stuff.
I actually found it really easy and did a much better job than the factory, which surprised me. Was expecting it to be a real pain.
Make sure you have some tape to secure the ends before you start (there was a measly amount in the box with my bar tape). Follow the guides online, start from the bottom, go easy and you should be fine.
you don't need tape to secure the ends at the bottom, simply leave enoguh to tuck into the end of the bar, followed by the bar end plug to secure it.
disregard the crappy strips of tape they give you anyway, use decent electrical tape
Following the Park Tools guide worked well for me.
