Fettling around on cx/tourer with a new minipump, and am bottle cage mounting to get it out my pockets. Is there a rule on down tube or seat tube cage ? 😀

Down tube is a bit untidy due brake hose, seattube more discrete maybe ? Non drive side seems best..

On my tourer, I have it on the seat tube, NDS. It's not actually bottle cage mount, it's a zip-tie thing so I can mount it a bit higher.

Seat tube on my Defy. If I try and put one on the huge down tube I knock it with my feet while pedalling.

I know someone who didn't put the pump back correctly on his seat tube, it came loose and ended up jammed between his wheel and chain stay, cracking his frame.
After seeing that happen, my pump is either on the down tube or in my pocket!
The worst bit is he didn't even use the pump himself, he lent it to someone to use!
