A friend of ours wants to get a road bike for her (adult sized) son...cycling isn't his main sport, but he wants something for fitness.

Any recomendations around the £500 mark?

Cheers

Tom

Can't go wrong with a Specialized Allez or Giant Defy

I was about to say that one on the classifieds - I have a 1200, and it is great for exactly what they want, that 1500 is a whole lot better specced than mine, especially with upgrades.

I use a Specialized Sirrus for commuting every day, would be great for fitness. Not too pricey either...

Tiagra shifter, Sora mechs, Shimano wheels, nice tyres and decent finishing kit.
