Hey, hoping someone can help. I've started riding to work on a road bike, and am waking up every morning with an incredibly stiff/ sore lower back. It's got to the point that I can't actually bend to reach things.
The ride itself is only 3 miles or so in each direction, so overexertion shouldn't be the issue, and I'm hopeful that a bunch of stretches/ exercises will help me resolve it.
Any recommendations? Thanks
try stretching your lower back & hamstrings.
On a road bike your generally more static and in one position than you are when your on a mountain bike. This means that if your postion is not spot on it can become very uncomfortable and cause various pains etc.
There are many things that can effect your position, stem length, saddle position, cleat postion the list goes on.
My advice would be get a bike fit or do you own, think Bike Radar did an online article about doing this a while back
