Hi all-
I'm resurrecting some bits and pieces into a sort-of muscular road bike. All going well, expect that the rear hub (pro2 Evo) is MTB-sized, my rear derailleur is GRX, and my shifters are RS505 hydro. I don't think a new hub/body is an option, so I need an 11 speed cassette solution for the rear.
I've read away back that 11 speed Shimano road cassettes of certain types can work- I think Ultegra? but is that right, and are there any others out there (maybe 105?) that would do the job?
thanks-
it's the 11-34 isn't it...?
someone who hasn't drunk less will be along in a minute..
Either use a Shimano 11/34 (HG700 or 800) or fit an 11spd Hope Freehub body
What a team- thanks!
I was going through exactly the same issue last night as I decided to swap a old pair of Hope hub Flow 29's onto my gravel bike.
Could not work out what on earth was going.
I've a SRAM 11-42 cassette - can I just get different freehub that fits?
Longer term question, as I'm considering a new gravel frame and high quality wheelset - do all road/gravel wheels have different Shimano-pattern freehub compared to the standard MTB Shimano-pattern freehub?
