Will a Shimano 11 speed road chainset work with a 10 speed shimano chain and cassette?
I think yes ('cos MTB stuff does)

Yes. I have 11 speed chainset running with 10 speed chain, cassette etc and also 10 speed chainset running with 11speed chain and cassette.
All fine!
