Any Rivi locals know what the latest situation is with trails and closures since the fires, are any of the main trails round the pike open?
Also I'm assuming that the Great Hill side is okay as it wasn't affected by the fire?
Didn't they report on the news a few days ago that the fire brigade had now been fully stood down? So that being the case, I would have thought it's all back open.
My brother went running up to the Pike just fine yesterday from the Horwich side.
All the trails in Rivington are now open again , saw an update yesterday from the rangers
Yep, was up there earlier on and the areas we rode were open. I could see lots of walkers in the areas that we didn't ride so that would suggest that the vast majority (probably everywhere) is open now.
Lots of the previously blackened areas now showing signs of re-growth now which is nice to see.
