I did a route that includes all that yesterday. I recorded the ride on Strava too. Is there a way that you can get the GPX from my ride?

As above have plenty of Strava loops that you could use if you can export them?

Just wrote out a long reply of the loop but then realised it probably wouldn't mean much if you don't know the area!

Gimme a shout if you need a hand sorting a loop, some good trails to ride around here.

Can't remember you taking so many pictures on that ride Lowey (or it could have been I was so fast I got to the photo stops before you :-))) it was a blast going out in such a big group 🙂 How long ago was the ride must be 10 years plus?

I do remember you having to go back at some point (Darwen Tower I think) with someone who needed to get home but didn't know the way, then meeting us further on the ride?

@footstomper

Yeah, one lad was struggling at Darwen tower, pretty much the furthest point out, I think you and Mr Sparkle lead for a bit while I waited and sorted him out.

Looking at the pics, sadly a couple of guys who are no longer with us. Was a great day and got really lucky with the weather.

🙁  Didn't see the date (doh) to busy looking at the actual pictures :-)))))

Yes Lowey did lead till you returned (Mr Sparkle had already departed) remember showing the Lads the Gravestone near the Reservoir of the Mountain Biker who crashed & paid the ultimate price.

I remember being told!

I recall the route to Dawin tower and the route off it to a certain extent but then the route over the moors then to the reservoir, I'm at a loss, anyone help out please.

Boss ride BTW, remember it well, 40+ riders ragging it down San Marrino one after the other...boss.

Blimey, there's a blast from the past. Donk was there too.

PS It's 'Darwen' not 'Darwin'. That one is a long way away!

I'm actually going to try and remember it again on Saturday providing I can shift this cold!

Taking a few of my wife's mates 🙂

I know it was only a week, but I managed to remember the route! Got everyone round and back to the cars/vans. It was a cracking day with a pub stop for chips and cider 🙂

Mid-ride stop at Darwen Tower.

"I’m now slimmer than I used to be"

Sadly the reverse for me mate.

"So…anyone fancy recreating this…Lowey?"

I dont really think there is much of an appetite for big group rides anymore matey.
