You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just popped into town thinking the headwind was bad. Turned out my front brake started applying itself. It is now dragging constantly, so I’ll quickly sort of align the Caliper, ramble home and do a proper job there.
Anyone had any experience of this?
weird - I mean, they preumably self-adjust as the seals retract, but jamming on ??
have you got a stone jammed in there or something ?
I've never had a brake apply itself although I did have an issue with some LX brakes years ago whereby the seals hardened in cold weather and the pistons wouldn't retract once applied.
Completely wild stab in the dark here, but they haven't been bled with the wrong fluid have they (I'm wondering whether swelling seals might do this, but I don't know really)?
Never bled these brakes yet. Driveside piston is sticking I think.
I’ll finish my coffee and a chicken shawarma then head home and fix it properly. I’ll not force the piston back without cleaning it first. Don’t want to shag the seals.
