[Closed] Ritchey Comp Mtn V4 Pedals......any good?

I love my Eggbeaters but can't be arsed with the maintenance required what with all the mud recently. Are the Ritchey's any better?

I used them for a while, but found that they were not user serviceable, so when they started to get a bit "graunchy", I had to give up on them (or pay Ritchey somewhere in excess of £30 to have them looked at).

IIRC, the fixed this with the V5 Paradigm pedals, so I might consider them in future.

FWIW, I found that the Ritchey cleat worked in a Shimano PD pedal, but not the other way around.

BTW - the newer Crank Brothers stuff (3 and up I think) has a good "no service required" warranty.
