Thanks for the good times and the hard work of all involved over the years.

Oh man that's a shame.
Not been for ages but had some good rides there 😔

Ribbesford is a small ‘grass roots’ facility and was not designed with high numbers of riders in mind. If we were building a bike park now, Ribbesford would not be the place that we would choose. It is simply not in the right location and whilst it has been able to exist when being used by a handful of riders, its growing popularity has meant that it now needs to be closed

I always get annoyed with this kind of statement - 'it is simply not in the right location...' and yet the place is getting high numbers so clearly it isn't a wrong location.

This just winds me up and shows the lack of interest or willingness to make things work.

At the same time, I've no idea where that is, so no idea how busy/dangerous it is...so I may just be getting wound up due to underlying issues! It might very well have issues that can't be resolved.

Sad, this was some of my nearest woods growing up. While I wouldn’t condone such actions there was riding in those woods long before built trails and I would expect that to continue, regardless of what the Forestry say.

(Disclaimer, I haven’t ridden there for years)
