I might have just gone for the Kinesis CX wheels, but I'm after a dynohub too so going handbuilt. Main tyres are likely to be Big Apples, Land Cruisers, Nanos or similar. Occasionally though a mate drags me along on proper road rides and I'd like the option of 28mm roadie rubber too. 32 hole and tubelessable.

I like the look of Archetype. Anyone know if they'll handle a 2"+ tyre? Or what do you suggest. I know the answer is likely in the Tripster thread, but I gave up at page 9.

Cheers

I built mine using Arch EX. I've not tried 28mm tyres though. The narrowest I've used are 32mm

Heaps of rims, I like Mavics.

IIRC there are pressure limits on stans mtb rims.

Open Pros are a little narrow for the wider tyres but might work ok. I have got Mavic A319 disc rins on my TDF, with 35mm slicks.

I use to use TN719's but did brake spokes on the back when touring and they have a min recommended width of 1.5
