Hi all.
Thanks for the help in my previous 'can I repair it thread'. Well after one carbon repair specialist came back and said no on safety grounds...'m going to bite the bullet and get a new rim.
The rear wheel is a syncross tr1 2015 27.5.
I think the rim is 25.5mm ETRTO 584x20.
28 spoke. Tubeless.
Id like to use the existing spokes and hub to relace it at my LBS.
Can anyone recommend a rim that will match please ideally of a similar spec.
Ive looked at lightbycycles but dont know what options to choose!
Someone also recommended a chinese rim on Alibaba. Has anyone got experience with these?
Or standard brands of interest also.
Thanks in advance!
Also would a wider rim still fit the existing spokes and hub.
And would an asymmeric rim be the same too?
Thanks
Rim width or assymetry won't matter.
I imagine you'll need to go to mfrs to get ERD, amd that's not a.good reason alone to choose a rim IMO.
Should be able to get a new syncros rim if needed.
Thanks. I got quoted £900 by a bike shop (scott dealer) who contacted syncros. The full rear wheel is 850 online?!?!
Would this rim fit?
Seems v similar and only 1mm less ERD.
Thanks again.
