might be a daft question but being new to this sketch ill take the blows !
do tubeless rims have to be run tubeless ?
and what width should I look for to fit 2.4's ?

Tubeless rims don't need to be tubeless, will be just fine with a tube in, and probably want a decent width rim for 2.4 similar to a mavic 819
