Other than road rides, I've been using my XC bike in locked out mode for 'lockdown'. Thrills a plenty on relatively tame XC loops. Fun and safer.

Loved it so much I'm up for a proper set of rigids. Planet X have these Selcofs available for £200. Seem like a perfect way to get some safer thrills out of my hardtails.

I was looking at the Exotics but they aren't in stock. The Selcofs are...

But the A 2 C is 10mm longer at 500mm as opposed to 490mm for the Exotic.

Ideally I'd like to try them our on different bikes... Replacing my 100mm Judys on my Chisel 29er and also replacing my 140mm Pikes on my 27.5 Slackline....

Both forks seem to be offering compatibility for both bikes. I'm aware that the Slackline will become a little steeper, but that's fine in rigid mode. I'm concerned about the Chisel sitting higher. It's a fairly XC 'non slack' bike. Worried that it'll change the handling.

I remember some forum feedback on these things being fairly minute in their noticability?

I have no experience of swapping out in this way. Any input gratefully received.

I was interested in those Selcof forks but aren't they Boost only?

A full-carbon monocoque rigid fork with tapered steerer for 27.5" and 29er bikes. it's long, light and geometry corrected to replace 100mm-120mm suspension forks.

27.5" and 29er
Tapered steerer
15mm x 110mm boost thru axle

I've actually missed the whole 'Boost' standard so genuinely not sure what it means on a front fork, just a 10mm longer axle?

They should come with an axle, probably 15mm x 110.

You can usually buy an adapter for your existing hub to make it fit. You just add some spacers and re dish your wheel.

Yes I think they are Boost only. Which is fine for me. The Exotics have plenty of choices... when they have stock.

Redishing a wheel, might bring you into that horrible modern territory, where a new thing is cheaper than repairing or modernising an old thing... ie getting a wheel that fits the fork. Unless you're a capable wheel builder.

But I'm more interested in the effect of subtle changes in Axle to crown heights on geometry.
