Hi guys,

Here's a question for any of you that are familiar with the GR5.

My partner and I are planning a cycling trip roughly along the GR5 from Geneva to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Due to a couple of delays, we'll now be going in the second week of July.

Do you think the number of tourists at this time of year would be a spoiler? I.e. would we be constantly dodging and stopping to let hordes of little old ladies pass?

Would later in the year (late September would be the next possible time) be a better choice?

Any advice much appreciated.

Jorj.

Personally September would be best but July will be fine the busiest place will be Chamonix/ tour du Mont Blanc area,
Enjoy there is some good riding.

Thanks for the info mate, 'preciate it.

We're going to try and time the up-and-over into Chamonix valley so we do it as early as possible in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Yeah, I'm getting excited now, can't wait.
