Up the ranger path and down the Rhyd Dhu, top 1/2 mile or so of the Rhyd is a carry but then it opens out and it's fun time. Did it in May this year, it was snowing at the top....

I think a chap called Ton on here has done it
and has some vid clips so ask him.

You can get the small train up to the top.
But am sure there is a mutaul aggrement on
when you can ride there and times.

No bikes on the train ... you'll have to ride or push.

"rode" up from Llanberis to the top and descended the same route a few years ago. You have to push up 80% of the way but its a pretty wicked descent to say the least! its worth it to see the look on peoples faces when you turn up at the summit with a bike!

Up Llanberis and down Rangers was how i did it earlier this year. Rode most of the Llanberis path, it was surprisingly easy except two long sections of pushing! Rangers was superb and well worth the effort.

Another option would be to park at the bottom of the Rangers path, climb up as far as Telegraph valley(?) and then up Llanberis and down Rangers or Rhyd Dhu to the bottom.

A lot of llanberis path will ride up fine with some effort. The section before the railway arch is a push up steps. The section after is doable if you are very strong. I came down llanberis but next time I will do rangers and telegrap valley. This is a popular topic so look in the history with the advanced search.

Went up via Llanberis path and down Rangers after alot of rain which made the descent very interesting and then finished off with Telegraph Hill. brilliant ride down but with a big bike the 80% push up was hard going. Big bike made it more fun and alot more rideable on the way down.

As Suggsey and Lowey, I'd recommend up Llanberis and down Rangers then Telegraph hill. Almost all rideable on the up and def all rideable on the way down with few buttock clenchers and great views for good measure (on a good day!).

I've got a gpx of the route somewhere if you're interested - telegraph hill is easy to miss. Email me if you want it and I'll try and find it 🙂
