So folks what are your riding plans for this year.
I'm doing some big continental rides this year - the Etape du Tour and the Gran Fondo Sportful, a couple of UK sportives and some off road marathon stuff.
I'd also like to up my riding this year in preperation for these events and have a training programme in place that will see me riding 400+ miles per week, my total mileage last year was around the 12k mark but I'm in the fortunate position where I only have to work a couple of mornings a week now so can dedicate a lot of time to getting really fit this year. I also have a couple of trips planned for alpine riding both on and off road and I'm doing my first training camp in Lanzarote this year.
I couldn't enjoy riding any more than I do but this year I really want to start achieving what I feel I'm capable of.
Whats your plans?
a) take bike out of house, sit on and pedal. anything else is a bonus!
im doing a week in spain coaching and maybe canada too
thats my plans 🙂
Sounds good jedi, is that off road coaching?
yes, in conjunction with basquemtb and possibly bushpilotbiking respectively

This.
Same as MrNutt.
I never make plans.
Got a few things pencilled in. Few road sportives and a few mtb enduros. Really enjoyed the ones I did last year so this year I'm going to do a few more if I can.
CRC (ex Merida) Yorkshire Marathon and the Selkirk.
Kielder Enduro Series
Maybe a 24hr team
Northern Rock Cyclone (it would be rude not to as the chairman of my road club organises it)
Sportive in Surrey (weekend at my GF's mum's house)
Sportive around Rivington (near my Parents)
Trying to pursuade my GF that she wants to go on a riding holiday in Vietnam as well.
Otherwise I'm just going to ride as much as possible especially in the long summer days.
