You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi
I've seen this posted on the Trail Action Group Facebook page - looks like there could be a few trails closing on Caesar's Camp. Wonder if they are waiting until they finish filming Man from Uncle before they start?
"Hampshire Wildlife trust will be carrying out some large scale conservation work on the Gelvert Catchment Area site, otherwise known as B7 or water catchment area near to Caesar's Camp.
This can be largely assumed to be the area between Beacon Hill Road and the covered reservoir.
Having been fenced in 2012 and grazed all year Hampshire Wildlife Trust are due to start clearing birch and pine scrub from the important areas to allow the plants, birds and reptiles chance to thrive once more.
This may result in some trails being temporarily closed and they have asked that the mountain biking community obey the signs during these works, which will run from October - December. This will ask that you avoid certain areas which are being worked in, for your safety and those of the contractors working.
TAG have agreed to publicise these works to the mountain biking community both to inform and in the interests of safety.
We have requested a map of the planned works that we can publish and will post further information if and when it becomes available.
Stay safe, ride responsibly and please respect the needs of the army training requirements especially at night - dim / dip your lights and go a different way.
TAG"
