So I'm on a family holiday about 30 minutes north of fort William from the 10th. Just wondering if there is any point taking my bike or will it all be ice?! Only likely to get a half day or 2

I think the snow is mainly gone at lower levels.  there could be more lower level snow or their might not be.

You'll be fine, there's no snow at all at the moment. Just Saturated with rain!

Take it you are staying in Fort Augustus?(or u drive slower/faster than me) The great glen way north has some nice stuff on it, found a good couple of trails around Alt Na Criche and someone was building huge jumps up there.

There us also some old/rotting north shore in the forest walks so sure there is stuff to be found.

Go north past the petrol station, turn left up the hill and follow the easy to miss signs.

I think there is snow on the hill as my mate went snowboarding yesterday but the trails are all clear, just damp/slidy on the muddy bits.

Staying at a place called achadery estate. Google maps says half hour/40 minutes to fort William. Their website does mention "off road trails" but I don't  think my version and their version will be the same!

The snow on Aonach Mor is brilliant at the moment, with good skiing down to the gondola.  Definitely take your skis/board.  Riding will also be good in the forest down low - we saw plenty folk heading out on bikes yesterday.
