This kind of feels like a personal ad! 🙂 But I moved recently to the Shalford area and am looking for a regular smallish group to ride with.

I commute 20k on the crosser each day, so have some fitness, am more into fun singletrack (would like to push my DH skills) than climbing bridleway and not really a club person. Young family means night rides and early morning weekends.

I'm easygoing and self-sufficient - would be nice to ride with some local peeps. Respond here or to my e-mail in profile.

Cheers.

join London Calling on facebook

slightly odd name, as most of them are locals.

Also the Muddy Moles ride round there a lot

http://www.muddymoles.org.uk/

and Diary of a Mtber

http://www.diaryofamountainbiker.co.uk/

they are not really like a cycle club - just a group that ride together...

Also Nirvana Cycles organise a lot of rides in that area

Loads of groups doing midweek nightrides. Beyond Mountain Bikes do one on a Thursday evening (they're on Facebook - if you like them you'll see the arrangements being made, but usually Peaslake @7), Nirvana do Wednesdays too IIRC.

Great. Thanks for that. I used to ride with Nirvana many a year ago. Was hoping for something a little closer to home and not such large a group. Will try a few of those and see how I go.

Cheers

Muddymole here. We often start rides over Peaslake way and so do DoaMTBer, although we are both based further east on the North Downs. We have plenty of people who ride with both groups. Just join the forum.

I just moved away (from quite near to you) otherwise I would have suggested getting together, not much use I know that ! I would suggest you get out on some of the local trails and get chatting to some people. Will drop you an email later.

The Beyond rides are typically 5-6 people I'd say, although faces change week on week. They're not particularly fast, but good fun.
