Off there in 2 weeks time. The temp at sea level is going to be around 20 degrees, but I hear it can be near freezing up in the mountains, which poses the question of what to wear.
My thinking is ill set off with a base layer and short leave Jersey and stuff some arm warmers, a buff, and a light weight waterproof in my pockets. But bit concerned that that's not going to cut it.. Got a gabba, and a perfetto gilet but not sure they will fit in my back pocket.
Will be wearing 3/4 bibs and long fingered gloves so hopefully covered on that front.
Any advice would be welcome ta
Take armwarmers and a gilet. It's honestly all you need unless you get caught out after dark or the weather is worse than normal. I was there last Christmas and it was shorts & short sleeves pretty much all the time except for a few of the longer/higher descents towards the end of the day.
I think I wore a lightweight windproof once. Christmas Day I remember being in mesh baselayer, SS lightweight jersey & regular bib shorts. Temperature well up in the mid 20s!

Cheers. So will a cheap decathlon gillet do the job, or are we talking something more substantial.
Two consecutive days over new year last year on Tenerife: both 25 degrees at sea level, one 17 degrees at 2300m, the next day zero up there. Going back again this year I plan to limit my altitude according to clothing.
