Off to France for a couple of weeks holiday at the end of June and looking for any info on riding in the dordogne? Need a good reason to haul the bike on the roof of the car all the way from Scotland!

Thanks in advance for any resposnes.

IME XC was nothing special, next time I'll be taking my road bike.

Thanks for the reply Rob.

Sounds like I should plan on taking the road bike - thought that might be the case but didn't want to get there and find I was missing something. Might get a couple of Serie Bleu maps just to make sure....

Dunno re. off road but it's opretty for road riding around there. HIgher up in the Massif Central is cool too (not sure if the Dordogne is that but plenty big rivers/gorges etc)

going to be staying near sarlat so I think it is fairly hilly about there.

On holiday with wife and young son though so biking will be limited to sneaking out in the morning for a ride and back for breakfast!
