After showing my misses a few of the latest post on here she is pretty keen for next year :):):)
Would be more XC orientated rather than full on Downhill Gnarrrrr.
We would probably be driving and looking to get a chalet in the mountains somewhere.
Any tips or recommendations from the STW people would be Ace.
Thanks in advance.

Good little bike park, epic mountain riding, beautiful scenery, guaranteed good weather.

I've not ridden with White Room but have ridden plenty of off-piste trails around Les Arcs. They might not be DH, but are pretty techie in my experience, I wouldnt call it XC. La Varda and parts of Double Header are way harder than bike park stuff, even if your wheels dont need to leave the ground.

Maybe have a look further south; Gap, Montgenevre - or the Passportes area has some pretty easy stuff where you can cover long distances.

Alternatively, go to deux alpes and ride the easy trails. The blues and some of the greens are pretty fun and not that hard.

You could combine it with some XC in the vercours which is pretty much on the way. Villard de Lans has a bike park (not the best) and a FFC centre with marked XC trails.

Another idea might be the Buesch valley, just north west of Sisteron. Over 1000km of marked trails apparently.

Thanks guys I forgot to add.
We have decided guided rides would be better to get the best out of the trip.
Im confident I can ride 90% of terrain apart from huck gaps/drops.
My misses is good for most Uk trail centre stuff.

White room, drop them an e-mail and tell them what you after and see how it fits in with their weeks. Really good, helpful and great riding. So much riding that you never need touch any of the silly stuff.

Me and the missus spend a week in alpe d'huez in the summer. It was just after the Mega so it was quiet. We rode all of the way marked DH and Enduro courses and she didn't have any problems apart from the top section of the DH1 black. We rented an apartment through the local agency for 300 euro. The lift passes included lots of other things such as access to the pool.

There are videos of the whole week up there too. We were on Classic Singletrack with a few extras as we stayed for another 1/2 week. There are some silly tracks out there but there is so much you don't need to do that part if you don't feel like it. When half of us went to La Varda my GF's group did a great long day all the way down the valley.

White Room was superb for me, but most of the riding we did would be most suited to experienced/up for it riders, not sure if that's the case here? Definately a step up in challenge from your standard UK XC ride

I'd massively recommend it though- definately going back next year. Easily the best week's riding I've ever done (and probably about 4 of the top 5 day's riding 😉 )
