Some mates and I are going to Belo Horizonte for our old housemates wedding in July. Aside from being away from the family for the best part of a month I'm concerned at not being able to ride for such a period. Therefore I was thinking of building up a dirt cheap ss with parts I have lying around and flying with it in a plastic bag so that I needn't worry about carting around a bike box.
Anyone have any experience of riding in Brazil, specifcally the Belo area? Lonely Planet would have you believe that you'll definitely mugged or knocked off by a cachaca fuelled driver. Cheers
I've spent a bit of time over there and I've only seen a couple of XC riders. They like walking to waterfalls etc over there so there are defiantly trails you could follow, you'll need a car to get to them as cities over there are pretty big. Â Some good breweries in Minas Geries especially Belo Horizonte.
