I think I want a riding hoodie to replace my (now breaking) roadie-esque softshell L/S jersey. Anyone got any recommendations?

My thoughts immediately went to something like a Chrome Merino number, or Overland (most of my kit is Morvelo/Overland and I like the ethos) and they have this which looks like it'd fit the bill. Any other suggestions?

Must be: able to ride through a light shower without wetting through, comfy enough for spring/autumn with a L/S jersey underneath, not garish colours.

I have one of those Overland hoodies. Afraid to say I think you'll get a bit damp in a light shower with one of those. Not been out in a light shower with one so I could be proven wrong.
Other than that they are super comfy and have a great fit.

Zipped or not? If the former, I'll recommend the Endura MT500 Thermal..

Good point, zipped ideally. I'll take a look at the Endura - thanks!

Interesting about the rain, definately worth asking then! Living is SW Devon, a lot of my Spring/Autumn riding is damp but not properly wet.

As a material, I’ve been quite impressed with gore Infinium. I think it’s the new windstopper but it seems to do a good job of keeping anything less than heavy rain off.
