Having lost a little garage space of late, storage is at a premium so wondered if it was odd moving all my riding gear (shorts/liners/gloves/layers etc) out of a container in the garage into the bedroom drawers etc. Helmet and shoes would obviously remain in the garage.

Where does everybody keep their kit?

I have my kit in the 'bike room' which in reality is the front room/lounge but as the house has a big open plan lounge and kitchen at the rear I don't need it.

So I just have my kit scattered around the room...

I put my riding kit in dry bags in a massive lidl bag, can just grab it and go when I'm off a few days of riding etc... Works for me anyway! Shoes live in the airing cupboard as they're five tens so take an eternity to dry.

Bedroom currently contains five 35l really useful boxes of riding kit, halfords tool trolley, another flat top tool trolley, two bikes and a spare set of wheels....

So, maybe you're not too bad 😀

(Ground floor flat, inbuilt brick shed contains another two bikes and lots of other stuff)

Edit, by the way, one of these from your local horse tack shop is great for riding kit

Pop it on the radiator to hook up and dry out shoes, camelbak and helmet 8)

Helmets tend to stay in the van, as do shoes in summer. All other bike clothing lives in the house , folded, in plastic boxes under a bed in a spare bedroom.

In winter, though, half my kit seems to be permanently drying , on airers , near spare room radiators, with shoes stuffed with paper first night , close by. Got to love the smell of decomposing forest in the house.

Of course, the entire storage and drying process has been made a whole load easier this year, since my wife left in April !

In the bedroom, a Big dress of draws, 2 small one (half size) on for shocks other for gloves/arms/legs/knees
one draw to "tops" (base/short & long sleeve)
one draw for "bottoms" (shorts/tights/baggies)
the bigger windstopers/coats get hung up
And I rotate a far bit out for "summer" & "winter" kit, with the stuff not been used stored in a big bag.

Helmet/backpack in a box near the door. Shoes near door, depend how wet they are.

saying that, we just moved so be a little re-jig, (think more tops will be hung this time.) better racking etc for stuff in boxes.
And I not if I am a little sad when I have 3 times the cycling kit over normal clothes! 😈
