Evening all

Anyone heading out for a ride from Edinburgh this weekend? I'm a bit short of riding buddies at the mo and fancy heading out. Let me know if you have room for one more.

Cheers.

TJ was organising a social ride for Sunday. Currie-Ratho-Sth Queensferry- Barnton-Town, mostly on paths & tracks. I suspect there'll be a couple of beers involved.

plus crappy weather today...

Wasn't that bad actually. Bit windy (and into into my face all the way to Maidens Cleugh) but quite pleasant after that. There was some snow on the ground, but just enough to look nice but without really affecting the trails.

Think I'll stick with the MTB tomorrow as well - if the weather isn't pleasant I reckon the MTB is a lot more enjoyable than a longer ride like the one suggested!

Donkey Lane to the Uni?

Is donkey lane the one that joins the tarmac before the railway crossing?

Epic CX-ery today along WoL to Balerno and back via Harlaw and Clubbidean, my new 32c Small Block 8s getting sideways at any available opportunity 😀

Be prepared for a couple of chain drops tomorrow though, can't get out of my saddle at the moment without my poxy SRAM PC-1 leaping off the sprocket 👿

You'll make it in 30 minutes, but I doubt you'll leave at 11, so 11:40 looks safe 🙂

Couple of folk need to bring locks for the pub stops.....

... and I'd better go now and see what state The Onion is in.

If I say leave at 11......................

*stomps feet*

Pub stop is not mandatory but a lock is not a bad idea

As good as George is, I doubt he can miracle dust from gloop 😉

And sorry TJ, I didn't get a chance to say yay/nay in the shop. I'm hopefully heading to GT or Innerleithen tomorrow so probably won't be along, but thanks.

Ta fir organising. Nice to see what's actually along the foreshore track as opposed to just riding it in the dark.

Cheers everyone, I enjoyed that and my feet are now defrosted. Jet wash on Dalry Road came in handy.

We did have two crashes though, luckily both riders were fully helmeted otherwise you'd be reading about it in the morning papers.

Cheers for showing us around TJ!
