You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
A week long trailing course is taking me to Alloa near Stirling for a week in mid September.
I will have the evenings free and a few days after to do some riding, theres a few trail cetre within two hours drive but I was wondering if there is something fun a bit closer.
Cheers!
It's crap.

Loads.
Torwood
Dumyat
Mine woods
North third
Ochils.....
No mention of Cambusbarron or Comrie?
There used to be trails out at Falkland as well but that was easily 20 years ago.
Take a wee gander at issue 128.......
That's near tillicoultry isn't it 😕
Issue 128 is North Third and Ben Cleuch/Andrew Gannel into Tillicoultry.
North Third has the classic cliff routes but also superb variations into the woods behind (FloJo, Route 77).
There's a mass of superb Ochil descents in addition to the Gannel burn - Ben Ever/ Wood Hill, Kings Seat. All worth doing.
The OP will have an amazing week and will want to move north - if not to Alloa itself.
Issue 103 Has an article on Dumyat, I live at the foot of Mine woods in Bridge of Allan and I rarely travel anywhere else to ride for steep rooty fun. Usually plenty of riders around so do ask to be shown trails.
You're going to have a great week.
Also some trails in Dollar, right close to Alloa.
And a new pumptrack at Zetland park in Grangemouth.
Oh, forgot about Dollar, looks awesome!
squirrelking +1, both of them are brilliant, some tremendous fun to be had at Cambu.
Nonone has asked about your riding? We have everything here from a flat bimble to mental steep. What do you like to ride/ability etc? Happy to suggest routes.
You mentioned trail centre as well, callander estate, beecraigs and carron valley are all well under an hour from where you will be. All are tame but man made/weatherproof and a few nice lines if you know where to look 😉
You will also find folk on bikes in the woods nearly every day/night so easy to follow someone.
