I was through Newport Shropshire at weekend, I specifically chose a route through there coz it was so flat & I was cycling 100 miles. If you like flat riding then follow the old railway line into Stafford (look for the green line on the sustrans route map) lovely track. But if you want anything decent then bike in car and get to Cannock chase, probably only 30 mins or so OR the long mynde the other way probably about the same.

How long would it take to cycle to Cannock or Long mynde? I do have a car but would prefer not to use that if I can help it

Ride Cannock about an hour each way.

If driving In order of what I would go to first:
1:Long myndd
2:Eastridge
3:Cannock
