I was watching a documentary about bikes last night and this was the first question they asked everyone. Got me thinking.
So riding a bike makes you feel.........
Tired....
🙂
But in a good way... it's rare i don't try hard... But it's very much a happy place for me either way.
Free
Like a big kid, especially when hooning about in a muddy wood 🙂
Is that sense of freedom, a sense of movement, a journey, ease, relief, escape....
Horny!
Oh - and: cold, hungry, weak, dizzy, sick, hurt.........
Mighty real.

Beat me to it.
Free of pretty much everything. It just feels nice to be out and enjoying life, with a good kick of adrenaline for good measure!
I guess good could cover all the feelings I get.
Free, good, happy, content, tired, sore, grateful I can.
Focussed in the moment, yet empty of thought.
......like i need to go on a diet and get more exercise!
Happy
... and out of breath
like surfing in fresh powder
like a natural woman
myself
I'd like to add:
often mildly irritated that something somewhere on my bike is not working precisely as I would like it to, no matter how much I fiddle with it.
Alive
...the trails come alive.
like I haven't grown up, which I love.
I love riding downhills really fast, with no hands on the bars.
nearest thing to flying.............. ace
Are you asking us how do we feel?
😉
Happy
Unstoppable
Content. And unfit.
...your mum.
Connected and disconnected at the same time somehow.
Young. Yet old.
Depends on the bike...
Road bike, I feel free like a bird! The thing is so efficient, fast. The tarmac passes under you fast, corners like it’s on rails.
MTB, I feel like a teenager again. It’s amazing. Liberating me from all the grown up sh!t. Just messing about, no worries.
I get home from a road ride, having enjoyed it, a good tear up with my mates (trying to drop them of course), maybe hit some Strava or power PBs, but I’m really tired, and I eat everything.
I get home from MTB ride, and I have this weird warm fuzzy glow. I feel bit tired, but really happy. And I eat everything.
Depends on who with, weather and bike type.
Generally I find a sense of relief and happiness. Riding my bike genuinely is my unwind. All life’s troubles don’t matter.
Happy. Alive. Free.

I love the content but tired feeling after a good day in the saddle...
On really long, solo rides I sometimes get into a 'flow' state of really open, subconsciousness - I don't have to think about pedalling and just let things drift in an out of my mind - when you're in the middle of open wilderness, looking up at aurora in arctic winter skies it's a pretty special place to be.
On group rides with my mates, it's sometimes just good to smash it - sprints for hills and signs - putting the hammer down on longer climbs and everyone's just hanging on - sit up at the top, let everyone come back together and repeat.
laterally stiff and vertically compliant
Horny, baby. Yeah
Free as a bird

Alive
Happy
Adventurous
...in the mood for a 🍺
Alive, focused, in the moment. Head emptied of stress, niff naff and trivia. Decades younger than my 55 years.
like dancing ( thanks Leo)
A weird mixture of good/happy and decades older than I am.
...like a bike rider.
...like the only thing that matters is the next few metres of dirt and the little bubble of nature around me, but at the same time they're totally inconsequential too.
...like a kid.
...like everything that I might need to think about is suddenly much simpler than it seemed before I got on the bike.
Are we going up or down hill when you ask this question as it might affect my answer?

……like i need to go on a diet and get more exercise!
Those two statements, thankfully my god daughter is studying to be a vet near us and since I bought her a bike she has forced/dragged me out on rides 🙂
So far howsyourdad1 has made me smile the most!
But back to the point, and in no particular order:
Happy. Scared. Frustrated. Peaceful. Knackered. Excited. Focused. Determined. Shit. But as cheesy as it sounds, definitely alive.
Cheers Big Yin. Nice topic.
happy and takes my mind off having to think all the time about routers, firewalls and all the crap that goes with it
