You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
out on a ride yesterday i was decending a really techy bit of the ride that had a few walkers kicking about, some bloke, about 5" from my face decides its fine to tell me i'm an idiot as i've ridgid forks and run my bike SS?!
WTF? talk about off putting! but better to nail that section then go back and lamp him.
RIGID.
tell me i'm an idiot as i've ridgid forks and run my bike SS?!
Well, he's the one with the sense it seems! 🙂
how do you work that one out Pete?
At least you weren't sporting clown wheels as well.
Were you.?
Off-putting? You take strangers' view on board?
You don't deserve to nail that section.
WTF? talk about off putting! but better to nail that section then go back and lamp him.
THAN
or
WTF? talk about off putting! but better to nail that section [b],[/b] then go back and lamp him.
I'd edit out that extra space if I were you B.A.Nana, otherwise someone will be along to point out the irony of you post.
WTF? talk about off putting! but better to nail that section , then go back and lamp him.
It was the only way I could seem to do it using bold BBcode, doesn't seem to make the comma any bigger anyhow. 🙂
i hope that phil.w deliberately typed "you"
WTF? talk about off putting! but better to nail that section then go back and lamp him.
Plus the walk back uphill would have taken ages.
its fine for going to the pub but that really techy bit needed fulk sus and some gears.
Had he got huge gonads? Did you ask him how he managed to sit comfortably on his 180mm travel full susser? Or if he'd started to look at his next Pastime/sport/bragging right?
I had an "interseting" "conversation" with a fella in one of my fave locals a few years ago. He had expert advise to give on almost every pastime as he'd obviously spent 6 months doing whatever the latest craze was/is.
Still, each to their own.
how frustrating for you to have come across someone who is both an utter p**** and totally correct
i'm on your side DMP.....
Regardless of whether I would or wouldn't ride a rigid SS he is still a knob - if you can't say anything nice , don't say anything at all?
One of my riding buddies was giving me stick last night for riding a rigid SS. He stopped when after two hours of riding I was still kicking his derriere both up and down every hill.
Imagine what living like that must be like, trapped by such fear and ignorance, unwilling to even consider the existence of the Other, even as a way test oneself against such vile temptation, choosing instead to hide from it behind his shouting and denial. Suggests a weakness of mind that does, that and a lack of conviction.
I was out on my SS, rigid, drop-bar'd 29er last night, and was just riding up the road past the end of my next-door-neighbour's drive, when she said hello, and then rather asked me 10 million questions about how long I'd had it, and why she'd not seen it before, how many bikes is it now, et cetera ... and as I don't ever remember actually marrying [i]her[/i], I was a bit surprised ...
I put that down to her being tempted tho' (by the bike 😉 ).
