I am looking at purchasing second hand a 29er inbred frame due to its versatility and it requiring everything I desire to turn it into a SS cross bike.

However I would need to space the drop outs IN 2.5mm either side, are the drop outs that you are running currently cut away to fit into the frame or are they flat both sides (as I can see from on ones website). This would save me cold setting frames which would be a huge bonus.

I would be easily able to make up some steel plate to fit either side on the drop outs to make it to my specification and would be able to make some bolts of some description to fit into the current (what appears to be) chain ring bolts that hold the drop outs onto the frame.

TL;DR
Are the drop outs cut away to fit the frame or are they flat both sides?

Are they chain ring bolts that hold the drop outs into the frame?

Thanks for your time,

Max

steel inbred ?

it'll bend to fit - cold-set it like sheldon says

(or just use a skinny 29er xc race rear wheel that'll fit anyway)

Steel inbred indeed. I want to be able to swap wheels across from the cross bike so I don't need even more wheels. Problem with bending it in and cold setting seems to be potential for snapped axles which would be less than ideal.
