I don't know any way to say this other than straight out. Nick has taken his own life.

You will be missed by a lot more folk that you thought Nick.

Rest in Peace.

I recognise him from that pic, think he was a mate of mate.......

Surely the nerve problem wouldn't have kept him off his bikes for life? One of his last tweets was about putting his bikes in to storage 🙁

There's no words that can express how sad I feel right now, Nicks had a tough time of late, lots of issues that he appeared to be able to deal with, never thought that this would be the outcome, I spoke to him just last week and he sounded upbeat and ready to tackle his challenges.

Met Nick twice years ago, both over a beer and a really good chat.

Can't imagine what place he must have been in but having lost 3 friends who took their own lives I have a slightly horrible insight 🙁

I didn't know the guy (though I definitely recognise him from some of the Mayhem photos posted), but this is so sad!

I've just read through his whole blog about doing the JOGLE solo, unsupported on his singlespeed, and he sounded quite a jolly fellow, not the type to let a minor problem get him down.

I'm guessing he never realised quite how many people would miss him! 🙁

As above, sad news. Recognise him from a few endurance events although never had a chance to say hi. Sounds like I missed out. Read parts of the LEJOG blog and will now go back and read it start to finish. Least I can do. Really puts things in perspective, my dull job aint so bad today.

RIP Nick, enjoy those always dry and dusty trails on the otherside.
