Minus 7 at the start and three mad riders set off from Wimborne.

A few other mad fools about

Serious frost

Sovell Down (Roman Camp). I find this place a bit creepy due to the tunnel of trees, but looks totally different today.

Still on the Ackling Dyke track

Some nice pics there. 🙂

Have been looking at my mapping software and can't find Sovell Down. Also where is All Fools Lane cos that looks as though it could be fun, in dry conditions nauturally!

I am determined to ride some of Ackling Dyke next year as well as exploring Cranborne Chase.

All Fools Lane is the one by the P symbol at the top.

I remember you asking about the Ackling Dyke recently. Well worth doing as you could ride most of the original length from Salisbury (Old Sarum) to Badbury Rings (Near Wimborne)

Thank you very much for the info. 8)

Presumably Ackling Dyke needs fairly dry conditions? Looks as though there is plenty of grass bridleway!

Should be fine in May with your favourite bluebells fully out 😀
