I'm looking for an out-and-back two day ride (i.e. drive to start and park, ride to overnight stop and return via a different route the following day) in either North Wales, Dales or the Lake District.
Any suggestions?

Theres so many options in North wales. Ive been planning on doing Cadair Idris and Snowdon on an overnighter. SO start in Machynlleth, ride up cadair from the south side and down towards Dolgellau, ride trail mix combo to get up to Llanberis and sleep there overnight. Then head up snowdon and back down to Machynlleth the next day. Id like to get up snowdon on the first day and sleep up there, but it may be pushing things a little! It woudl take a bit of extra planning to do this without road miles, but its possible.
