Is anyone using it? What are the positive and negatives? Using wax and WS2 at the moment, so minimal wear to drivetrain.
I've just started, only been out for one ride, off toad in the mud and wet.
No issues on that ride, drivetrain easy to clean afterwards. Yet to see how it performs on the next ride. Hopefully it will do what they say 🙂
Clocked up 300 ebike miles so far on revolube. 2 applications on a near new chain but on 500 mile old sprox. Riding Surrey Hills. Seems to work, but mainly dry going with muddy splashes.. Power washed off maybe 5 times or more. Zero crunching, or grit graunches & chain looks like new. So low maintenance time after set-up, But you can't see any lube on there. Winter will be the better test. I usually run Putoline in winter & home brew candle wax in summer.
Been using for some months - 500km+. In that time two applications, last at c300km - even though chain was still silent. I did follow application instructions to the letter.
In that time plenty of wet, damp, dusty riding. Chain stays clean, at most has needed a wipe. Doesn’t get rinsed off with normal hose pressure either. Did I mention chain stays so clean!
Best lube I have ever used.
What are Revolubes users thoughts now it's winter?
I dont find it lasts more than 50 miles in wet and muddy conditions. I would get over 100 miles in the dry before the chain sounded like it needed more.
What I really dont like though is that my chain looks rusty a few days after the bike has been washed. I'm told that this is not rust, its chlorites that rub off quickly on next use...but it looks horrible. Anyone know if I can use MO94 / GT85 on top of revolubes to prevent this?
Anyone getting better performance in wed mud than me?
Update on my revolubing... Summer rides & my chain suddenly stretches & gives graunchy noises in the lower gears. So it never got to Winter use. Back on the older chain that's lasted 1000 miles on the hot wax or Putoline depending on the season. Both chains YBN brand. Have retired the Revolube.
Finish Line Ceramic Wet on all bikes, road or MTB, just works...

This was my concern, I was interested in trying a lighter drip on lube again and got as far as de-Putolining my old chain in preparation to apply some Viking Juice. However in doing so I discovered just how much chain wear the Putoline had been masking! The drivetrain went from working fine to making all sorts of weird noises which I could visually see were the result of worn chain hooking up on worn chainring teeth. I should have seen the experiment through by re-Putolining to see if I could eke out a bit more life from the drivetrain but I shelved it instead and fitted some new parts.
I think there is definitely something to be said for lubes which deposit something/anything in between the rollers, be they wax lubes or maybe ceramic. I get on well with Fenwick's Stealth which I think also leaves a ceramic (or similar) layer behind.
