My old Reverb B1 is stuck up on slow, it works ok on fast.
I just bled the lever/cable but its still the same. On slow i can push the seat but it wont move
It was working fine after a rebuild 2 weeks ago.
Is it a problem with the lever or the post itself, and is it likely to get worse tomorrow? I hope i'll be riding all day
Indoors in the warm at the moment
I also have a new reverb with 1x lever, is it possible to change/swap/fit/bleed this without the special new tools? Also i dont see how the lever fits on the bars, there's no clamp, my brakes/shifter are shimano
The speed adjuster adjusts the volume pumped by the button & this in turn dictates how much the poppet is depressed. If there's any loss of oil in the button circuit the full slow setting on the button will cease to activate the poppet. I had a miniscule slow leak on a hose fitting & had the same symptoms.
I'd re-bleed the post & see if this helps. Finding the leak if that's the cause should prevent this happening again. Remember to bleed the system with the speed adjuster set to the full slow setting.
I'd suggest making sure the seat clamp hasn't been overtightened and then try another bleed and make sure all air is removed (and hope you don't have a leak like @Davesport has suggested it might be).
The symptoms you described suggest either a low oil level in the lever or a kink in the hose.
Easy enough to sort.
tried it aain as davesport suggested and it works fine on fast too now, so thanks very much for the quick diagnoses
