I snapped the barb in a light crash, so I replaced the barb, bled the post and now it's stuck in the down position. I've read some older threads and tried a lot of ways to rectify this...
I let the air pressure out but it still wont budge (by hand or remote)
The bleed was successful in as much as there is no air and the remote button operates nice and smoothly and returns nicely.
I even tried pumping the pressure up whilst holding the button in. It still won't budge.
It was a 2nd hand post about a year ago and worked fine until the barb snapped. I'm certain the remote was not damaged and the post itself looks in good nick Puzzling. Any ideas anyone?
Keep bleeding it.
Did you bleed it with the button in the slow position?
teethgrinder - yes, put it right to the slowest as recommended by sram. The bleed seems to have worked well, when I had the syringes still connected, you could see the fluid moving when the button was operated.
nobeerinthefridge - When it's bled it's bled surely? The air bubbles had stopped.
No, they sometimes take a fair few bleeds.
Okay thanks. So I presume you mean adding more fresh fluid and pumping that through, followed by another lot. etc? It just seems difficult to workout where one bleed ends and another starts (lol)...do you put the torx caps back on then take them off and start another bleed? Hope you see what I mean.
I have just sorted the same problem. I emptied the post of air and oil (as much as I could). I then got someone to hold the post in its extended position as it now moved. Filled the system, then bled it twice. I then put in the air and re- bled and now it works fine! Slightly long winded I admit but it solved it for me. Hope you sort it. Very temperamental these reverbs....
Thanks Tmass91 - I emptied the air but it still would not budge - I will try removing the oil as well. Yes, they are temperamental! 🙁

Make sure that you don't have a leak where you have fitted new barb. There should be absolutely no sign of oil around the joint.
Put the air back in the post and bleed the remote again. It's not just a case of pumping fluid through, you have to operate the button, push and pull on the syringes, twist the speed adjuster and do what you can to get the air out of the remote circuit. It takes a surprising amount of oil to flush a bubble all the way through the pipe IME.
When you've finished bleeding, disconnected one of the syringes and replaced its plug, push down gently on the other syringe to force the remote button out and get as much oil into the remote circuit as possible before disconnecting the last syringe and refitting the plug.
Yes, they are temperamental!
Not really - just misunderstood 😉
Bleed it with the speed dial in the fully slow position. remove the syringes, put the bleed screws back in, wind the speed adjuster to full fast, the post should then pop up. Once its up bleed it again this time with the speed adjuster in the slow position again.
