I'm looking to swap my L?H reverb remote for a R/H remote. I posted in the wanted part of the forum and I had a response asking whether it was the silver or black adjuster. I know I should have asked the member posing the question, but do the black and silver adjuster work the same in regards to the adjustment. I had not given it previous thought and thought the colour change was just to match the change in the seatpost collar.
Stupid question I know, 😕

The newer version has a screw thread barb which is much easier to remove and fit. The old version you have to slice away at the end of the hose with a knife supposedly to remove, which is fine if you're shortening.

I've got silver adjuster on one bike and black on the other but I shortened both and they both had a screw thread barb. So not sure the adjuster colour means anything.

Suspect that all silver adjusters should have been push fit unless a replacement hose has been fitted?

I know my old one has silver adjuster but iI replaced the hose as it was too short, replacement has screw barb from memory (it was a couple of years ago)

I have a new one in the box of build kit waiting for new frame, I'll try and remember to take a look later...

Just to add, my silver one was likely an OEM version from bike-discount.de. Came in a plain box, no bleed kit or spares etc. The black one is full retail boxed with all the extras and bleed kit (though came from Alltricks in France and was expecting OEM).

Nope. Got 2 silver adjuster posts here, 1 from Loco the other from Wiggle - both are screw in

So other than a screw in barb, functional there's no different so can they be interchanged ??
