Last night I noticed that when I sat down the post compresses about 1 inch. Is it now broken?

It still goes up & down.
Could it need bleeding?
Is something more sinister occurring ?
It's under one year old.

Please help/advice
Thanks

It may have just lost some air. Pump it up again to 250. If it happens again its leaking a bit.

You can get it serviced by Fischer Outdoor.

A few things to try before bleeding.
1) Put some of the 2.5wt oil on the shaft and pump the seat up and down as the seal can get dry and leak.
2) Pump it up and down again while turning the speed adjuster on the bar mounted button.
3) Check the air pressure.
If that doesn't fix it.
4) Bleed it fully.
If that doesn't fix it.
5) Send it to SRAM Tech via your LBS.
