Bought a new hose kit from SRAM, kit has barbs and a hose naked at both ends. My old hose has a connectamajig at the end of it. Can I still use this new hose kit or do I need to buy the connectamajig kit??

No, you'll need a hose kit for the connectamajig as the fitting for it is crimped on....Like this one

You can just not bother with the connectamajig and connect the hose direct.
I'm not sure of the point of the connectamjig anyway as it doesn't fit through a lot of frame routing holes and you end up bleeding the system anyway.

SSS yeah thats what i was hoping, but i ordered a connectamjig hose now anyway... the other one will no doubt come in handy soon.... the connectamajig hose only has the crimp at one end so routed it starting at the back..

routed it starting at the back..

Best way to do it.
I always just remove the lever/button feed the hose through and a quick bleed on the lever.
