Swapped my frame today, Sod’s law dictates that my current reverb hose is too short. (B1 version with button remote).

Cheapest option is to just buy a longer hose (in this case do I just do away with the connectamjig as I need to thread the button end anyway due to internal routing?)

Pricier option is to fit either an X1 Lever or Wolftooth. Seems the WT conversation will cost me £10-20 more plus a bit more hassle fitting but no bleeding. Again if reverb do I bother with a connectamajig, and if not is it easy to remove this from the seat post?

Anyone got any recommendations here (also interested in any second hand items for sale).

If you get on ok with the standard remote, I don't think the 1X lever is worth the money. I thought my standard remote was playing up, so replaced it with a 1X and it is better, but not £70odd better!

Don't have a connectamajig in mine, so not sure of the function.. does it just make it eaier to replace the hose?
I think you just need one of those tiny red hose joiners to feed the new hose through. (I think I might have a spare I can send you if needed, will have to check)

Go for the Wolftooth Sustain cable operated conversion. I did, my reverb has been faultless ever since.

Thanks for the offer of the connector Dez, but I already have a couple. To be honest I’m currently just thinking replace the hose and look out for a cheap 1x given I’ve just spent on a new frame. The Wolftooth is an attractive option, but the most expensive.

The biggest headache is threading the cable, Santa Cruz internal routing so needs to go via seattube and the little red connector is a pig to get out of the head tube given the angle (it gets stuck).
