My reverb stealth (150mm 31.6mm) has started dropping around 10mm. I have checked and topped up the air pressure to 250psi. It was at 240psi so wasn't far off before topping up. It's only around 6 months old so should be covered by warranty but before I ring sram/ fishers in the morning is there anything else that causes this that I can remedy myself?
I have had a google but everything points to the air pressure or send it back to sram.
Cheers
Andy.
Sounds like the known warranty issue that was going around from about 2012. It's a free warranty replacement with fishers the importers via your local bike store.
Have they not sorted it on newer models? I'll give them a ring first thing. Good job the bikes out of action for a week or so so I won't be needing it for a bit.
I'd have thought so but it does sound like it I had 2 that did it and fishers sorted them within a week no issues.
So that's good.
Return to place of purchase for a Warranty return, internal issues.
You may as well warranty it as above.
But, if you do a proper bleed, ie using 2 x syringes (not just 1 at the remote) you might find that fixes things. It did for me last week, though I dont really understand why?
Send back to Fishers via the shop you bought it from and about 10 days later a new boxed one arrives - got one waiting for me. 🙂
Had mine replaced under warranty for this issue, earlier this year.
New one is now doing the same!
Had mine replaced under warranty through CRC with the same problem.
One suggestion I saw was that it can be caused by lifting the bike by the seat when it is in a lowered position. Apparently, it can suck air past the seals.
Had same issue, checked air and bled properly, no change, replaced under warranty, 9 months old

^^ This.
Thanks for all the advice.
I rang Sram earlier and they said to send it in for warranty via a LBS. The guy I spoke to said it's most likely that air has got past a seal. Apparently its not caused by lifting the bike by the saddle which I have never done anyway.
Noticed mine doing just this yesterday. How will I cope in the Oxfordshire hills without my dropper if it has to be warrantied?
