hi, just goit a 2012 reverb, is brand new. fitted it to the bike, shorterned the hose and bleed, the post goes down fine and comes back fine. if i hold the buttom down it will extend but after that i am able to pull it up another 5-10mm with abit of force.
not sure if this is normal or not?
sam

It's probably lost some air.

Put your shock pump on the valve at the base and pump up to 250psi. That should sort it. Leave it overnight and check its still ok. If it starts doing the same thing again then you've got a leak; get it back to the retailer or the SRAM tech centre for a replacement.

Had this with mine, currently waiting on a new post to be sent out... Taps fingers impatiently...

The threaded part at the bottom what I guess a valve is in was loose. I left it as I wasn't sure if it was meant to be like that so guessing air has leaked out. Will go sort it

just had a look, preasure was spot on 250psi. on closer inspection it more like 15-20mm that it does not come up at the very end

Seat clamp will be too tight...seen the same problem a few times before. Use friction paste and don't do it up as tight.

Same thing with mine. As above, use friction paste and loosen off.

spot on. not sure about to tight tho. was still able to rotate the post in the frame but still the post locked up. using a salsa qr clamp. have rotated the clamp so the lever is at the front and not the side, have it tighter so the post will not rotate and now works fine!

It was mentioned on checking preasure. Do you do this fully extened or dropped?

Check seat clamp torque in manual. You can pull it up normally though I found.
