Had a bit of a shock after treating myself to an AXS Reverb when I realised that it didn’t come with a controller. As a former Magura Veyron user it never crossed my mind that the controller would be separate to the post.
Do all AXS controllers work with a reverb? A £150 shifter unit seems overkill for what I need.

The new, current Reverbs don’t come with a controller - think the current version is A2 - which changed around 6-12 months ago. The A1 always came with a controller. I don’t believe there are any actual changes between A1 and A2 though.

what arrived was actually a left handed gear controller (still works with a reverb) with 2 buttons on it.
Does seem proper odd that it doesn't come with the controller - unless it was properly cheap? Still more than mildly annoying.
I got one in June as I suspect it needs to go back - got the wee drop and the DIY fix doesn't fix it and it feels rough whilst dropping (not visible damage). Annoyingly, I got it from Germany so I'll need to have a chat with a local shop and see how much they'll charge to do a warranty claim on it (tends to be free from.place of purchase but I always end up with a labour charge from.elsewhere).
Thanks to all the lovely people on STW that helped. New post is up and running, new reverbs come without the controller unless you choose the even more expensive option with one! If I remember rightly this would be twice the price of my GT Tequesta which was my first MTB. How times change!
Biggest shout out to DMC for finding the spare unused one. Bought for a much more reasonable price than a new one!
