You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Reverb has been working perfectly since its service, until today when it got gradually slower until packing in. Looks like oil is seeping from the button so I assume it needs a rebuild.
Rebuild kits are around £35, against the cost of a 1x which is £75. Are there any particular tools required or level of difficulty which is going to add cost or put me off? If rebuilding how long does this job usually take (mid level competance)?
thanks
Interesting, any idea where to get these sizes without having to buy loads I don’t need?
You may be lucky enough to have a local shop - failing that there's these although hopefully someone may have a better source for them in here

Its pretty straight forward to do, pull out the U shape wire out from underneath then just pull the button out then replace the few O-rings.
What kit did you see for £35? RockShox don't supply any rebuild kits for the remote.
It’s the button kit, come with an new shaft etc. Basically a load of bits I probably don’t need.
Razor - which version of Reverb is it?
I have a spare (left under / right over) button as I changed mine for the X1 lever. £10 posted if you want it / fits.
Leku, I'll take that off you if Razor doesn't want it.
I had the same issue and it turned out the button housing is worn. You need a new housing otherwise new seals won’t make a difference.
I managed to get a second hand x1 remote for £40 and it’s far superior..... well it would be if it wasn’t leaking from the speed adjust!

PM sent thanks, I’ll take the button please.
i also think I’ll keep an eye out for an X1 in the meantime.
